Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the GridValue app for iOS ("GridValue", "the app", "we") handles information. GridValue is published by an individual developer ("the developer"). By using the app you agree to the practices described here.
In short: GridValue does not require an account, your photos and projects never leave your device, and the app does not sell your data. The app does include third-party software that collects limited technical, usage and purchase information, which is described below.
1. Information we collect
Information that stays on your device
- Photos you import. When you choose a photo from your library or take one with the camera, it is stored locally within the app so you can place a grid over it. Photos are never uploaded to us or to any third party.
- Projects. Your grid settings, locked squares and other project data are stored only on your device. Exports you create are saved where you choose (for example your Photos library).
Deleting the app removes this data from your device. We have no copy of it and cannot recover it.
Information collected automatically by third-party software
GridValue includes third-party software development kits (SDKs). When you use the app, these SDKs may collect:
- Device identifiers such as a randomly generated installation ID, the identifier for vendor (IDFV) and similar technical identifiers. GridValue may ask for permission to track. The advertiser ID (IDFA) is collected only if you choose Allow in that system prompt; if you choose Ask App Not to Track, or change it later in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, it is not collected.
- Device and app information such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, region, time zone and approximate location derived from your IP address.
- App usage and interaction events such as which screens are opened, which features are used (for example creating a grid or exporting), session length and interaction with the in-app paywall.
- Purchase events such as when a subscription is started, renewed, cancelled or restored, the product purchased and the price. Payment details (card numbers and billing address) are handled by Apple and are never visible to us.
- Crash and performance data such as crash reports, stack traces and device state at the time of a crash.
Information you send us
If you contact support by email, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
Information we do not collect
GridValue does not require you to create an account and does not collect your name, contact details, precise location, contacts, health data or the contents of your photos.
2. How we use information
- To operate the app and deliver features you request.
- To understand how the app is used so we can improve it.
- To detect, diagnose and fix crashes and bugs.
- To display the in-app paywall and confirm your subscription status.
- To measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns for the app at an aggregate level.
- To respond to support requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to the app.
3. Third-party services
The following third-party services receive the information described above. Each processes it under its own privacy policy.
- Amplitude (product analytics: usage and interaction events, device identifiers). Amplitude Privacy Policy

- Meta (Facebook SDK) (app events such as installs and purchases, used for ad measurement). The advertiser ID is shared with Meta only if you allow tracking when asked; otherwise advertiser ID collection stays disabled. Meta Privacy Policy

These providers may store data on servers outside your country of residence. We do not share information with any other third parties except where required by law.
4. Data retention
Photos and projects remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app. Analytics, crash and purchase data is retained by the third-party services listed above for the periods set out in their policies, after which it is deleted or aggregated. Support emails are kept for as long as needed to resolve your request.
5. Children
GridValue is not directed at children under 13 years of age (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal information, to object to processing, and to data portability. Because photos and projects are stored only on your device, you can delete them at any time from within the app or by removing the app.
To request deletion of analytics, crash or purchase data associated with your device, or to exercise any other right, email us at zeynepelcinural@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may ask for information needed to identify the relevant data.
You can also limit analytics collection on your device through iOS settings, for example by turning off "Share iPhone Analytics" and by using the tracking and advertising controls under Settings > Privacy & Security.
7. Security
Information sent to third-party services is transmitted over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected here and, where appropriate, in the app. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
